From a Small Alabama Town to the NBA
J.D. Davison grew up in a small community in Lowndes County, Alabama, where chances to shine don't always come easy. Through discipline and hard work, he earned his way to the NBA — becoming living proof of what's possible.
He hasn't forgotten where he started. Today, he's investing back into the community that raised him, because he believes the next standout athlete, scholar, or leader could be any child walking onto this court.

Is this camp actually free?
Yes — completely. The foundation covers every cost through donations and partnerships, so families never pay a registration, equipment, or hidden fee.
Who's eligible to join?
Youth ages 8–18 in Lowndes County and surrounding communities. All skill levels are welcome, from first-timers to competitive players — no tryout required.
Will J.D. Davison personally be there?
He attends foundation events when his NBA schedule allows. Every session is run by coaches and mentors who share his values, whether or not he's on-site that day.
What should my child bring?
Athletic shoes, comfortable workout clothes, and a water bottle. Equipment, instruction, and snacks are all provided.
How will we know if we got a spot?
After submitting the form, the team follows up within two business days by phone or email to confirm registration and share camp details.
Are scholarships really available?
Yes. Participants who show strong character and commitment are connected to scholarship opportunities as part of the foundation's broader mission.
